It's the worst when it comes from people that you know and usually trust on
legitimate matters.

I didn't get fooled, but a couple of people in this area were spreading a
rumour that "the gas prices are going up 40cents per litre
tonight!"  I didn't see any line-ups at the gas bars when I drove by.
