AZ> Now if you got that configuration in 2000 or 2001... I stand corrected. 1999-2001 is a particularly fuzzy period for me. I purchased an XP eMachine (1.7GHz, 512MB ram, *no* cd burner, 40GB hdd for $599) about a year after the ME purchase. So.. since XP was released late 2001, it stands to make sense that I spent $1500 in 2000, not 1999. Nevertheless, the PPC G4 was released in late 1999. So, at $1600, and later scaled back to a 350MHz cpu without a reduction in price is pretty ambitious. --- Thunderbird 2.0.0.24 (Windows/20100228)* Origin: Fidonet Via Newsreader - http://www.easternstar.info (1:123/789.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 123/789 500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
