I rang Netcomm to check this, because I thought Avteks were made here.
The answer is: yes, Avteks ARE made here. But not the Flashmodem.  It IS
a Motorola Lifestyle.  They did the deal as a stopgap measure during the
Rockwell chipset shortage.  Latest model, the Megamodem, is made here.
