Check shopping malls....a large number of them allow "walkers" in
before the stores open and after they close.  Before my dad died, I'd take
him to the mall across the street and we'd wa;t the mall for an hour....

Look for farmer's markets....and if ya ain;t proud...go there near the end
of the day.  There's one here that runs on Sunday....and at the end of the
day, they either throw food away of offer it at a reduced price.  May of
the merchants use casual labor to lift and tote....and I sometimes get up
very early and go "work for food".  Not only do I save money, but
I get a LOT of exercise.
