Me too, except that I never left a terminal program open. I just opened
it when I needed to fetch something or for mail.

Even though OS/2 is the best multitasking system I have encountered I'm
personally still stuck in the single task at a time. This machine is
running the BBS all the time and has the node windows open but the only
additional program running is this QWK program using the QED editor.
