| subject: | California - LOL! |
When I lived in California, it was illegal to have window tinting on your
car windows for many, many years. Then they eased up a bit and allowed it
on side windows, then eventually the back window, as long as it could
still be seen thru.
Here in Texas, dark window tint is and has been the norm for decades and
is seen on all law enforcement, fire department and government owned
vehicles, not to mention private ones.
But, the California Air Resources Board has done one even better.
"CARB to require UV-reflective windows
LA Times -- California, a trendsetter and nemesis of the auto industry for
decades, is at it again.
The state's air regulators today will consider a requirement for auto
manufacturers to include sun-reflecting glass on all vehicles sold within
the state.
The idea is to keep the cars, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles
they sell in California cooler during hot weather, reducing the amount of
air conditioning their drivers and passengers need. "
Get that? Sun-reflecting! So every driver can be blinded by the sun or
from all the other cars on the road with 'sun-reflecting' windows. If they
work in the dark to reflect head lights, that will be the most hilarious
situation since they legislated gasoline driven vehicles off the roads by
requiring manufacturers to sell just as many electrics.
I love California's CARB humor...LOL!

the victory itself.
