Make sure that you do not have a phone connected to the line when you

are using your modem.



Some telephones take a charge from the phone line every few minutes,

to keep the memory for storing phone numbers up to peak.



This surge will drop your modem connection if you have the phone

connected at the same time as you are using the modem.
