Doesn't make that much difference as long as the wire is heavy enough....

I don't know....you may have a chance that the crossoversection is build in
in the sub cabinet....if you use a seperate amp you'll need a seperate
crossoversection as far as I know...but it is the best solution..

Depends on the diameter of the cable, the range of the frequency, the
impedance of the speakers..etc......anyway, if you're worried about it and
want to be prepared for the worst case: take a standard loudspeaker zipcord
with a diameter of 4 square millimeters or more (due to the 11 meters you
just mentioned)....I'm sorry I can't translate that into gauge or other
measures....
