There might be hope.  I noted a short article in the local fishwrapper yesterday
that a Muslim woman was denied naturalized citizenship in France because she
insisted on wearing the hijab.  The French have apparently finally discovered that
those folks, like most Turks in Germany and a lot of Latinos here, have no intention
of assimilating and actually becoming a part of the nation.
