LE>VM> I am using a program called Backmaster by MSR Development Corp. This LE>I know Backmaster, and it technically supports my drive. Unfortunately the LE>demo version won't detect it (I downloaded it off their web site). Nobody h LE>DOS-based software, *inside OS/2*, works fine, so there is not a hardware It could be a driver conflict. The manual states that things like CDROM drivers, serial drivers, video drivers, network drivers, can affect backmaster... you could try stripping down your config.sys to it's bare essentials, and using that version of it for backups. I do that because my serial driver (SIO) wont backup. You can also make sure that the tape drivers are either the LAST driver loaded, or the FIRST driver loaded. I also found, that with the hardware problem that I had, certain functions worked (even with the dos software) but others didn't, so I could say, check out what volumes were on the tape, do a retension, but not the actual backup part... Hope you get your tape working... :-) vaughn --- * OLX 2.2 TD * Press "+" to see another tagline. --- GOMail v2.0 [94-0491]* Origin: The Sword of Orion BBS - +64-3-4774541 (3:770/510) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 622/407 623/630 625/100 632/339 690/347 711/409 410 SEEN-BY: 711/430 808 809 934 955 712/515 713/888 714/906 770/115 116 125 135 SEEN-BY: 770/145 155 215 345 510 771/1320 772/1 20 120 135 350 380 774/605 SEEN-BY: 800/1 @PATH: 770/510 115 772/20 711/955 808 934 |
