RT> You have tossed the proverbial stone into the waters, and the ripples
RT> are echoing back from the shore. ...everything is pointing toward
RT> listening more closely to that "inner prompt" of yours.
AMEN.
RT> I am somewhat familiar with her case. ...bring us up-to-date...please
RT> post it. She sounds like a remarkable woman.
I'll compose something in the next few days. Were we just talking about
"focus"? Hmm.
RT> Specifically, you need an APPELLATE ATTORNEY, or one with considerable
RT> experience with these highly technical proceedings.
Were you speaking above/^ about Jenny or Kriseya? I think Jenny is well in
hand now. We're searching as hard as we know how for K.

RT> This sounds like the type of organization _many_ people are looking
RT> for. From time to time I hear about these groups, but never seem to
RT> be able to locate them. Please convey to them that I would appreciate
 RT> more information about them.
Will do. When, _if_ I get time soon, I'll compile & share resources we know.
May be helpful. I'll also note why they fizzled for us. We had a knack of
asking for help at the wrong time. Hope the tide has changed for us.
RT> On a related note, I understand that some efforts are underway among
RT> some of the VOCAL people to distribute information via this medium.
RT> You may wish to convey this opportunity to the Ingram people as well.
RT> This forum, along with others related, would be an ideal way to
RT> disseminate newsletters, press releases, etc., while keeping printing
RT> and mailing costs at a minimum.
I'd think Dan would appreciate any avenues of info dissemination. Will do.
RT> Regarding your sending me information, I would very much appreciate
RT> it. You may pass my name and address along to other advocacy groups
RT> you encounter as well. It is not possible to overload me with too
RT> much information inwardly flowing. My new address is posted at the
 RT> end of this message.
Thank you! How do you handle it all?? "Not possible to overload" you??
Do you have help? I'm naturally curious, but often restrain myself: I note
what takes place on some conferences, and figure that I must wait to know
some things. Still, I'm very interested in knowing more about you.
>> Jenny Wilcox...way to get a brief story about her "crossposted"?
RT> A few ways to accomplish this. First, assuming the BBS you call has
RT> all of the available conferences you wish to target, upon entering
RT> your message here, in VFALSAC, you may, depending upon the BBS
RT> software, be prompted at some point with the option to "Forward" your
RT> message into another area. Lacking this feature, what I might suggest
RT> is preparing your messages off line, and using the ASCII protocol to
RT> upload the same text file into the various message areas, one-by-one.
No, among several BBS's, none have all the conferences. I get them piece-
meal. As for ASCII stuff, that's presently over my head. I'm a computer
kindergartener. I do well--and not very well--just getting into and out
of BBS's. Necessity, not talent, drives me.
RT> If you lack access to a particular conference, post here, and leave me
RT> a short note requesting that I forward it to XYZ conferences, and I'll
RT> take care of it from my ned. I enjoy a quick turn-around time, your
RT> message of slightly after midnight of the morning of the 24th having
RT> arrived here at 2 P.M. the same day. If you'd like to cross-post to
RT> WITCHHNT, an Internet message area, George Hero would be the one to
 RT> ask about that.
Yes! This I can do! Good to know of your turnaround. My "personal"
turnaround, is another matter. I just dropped Am. On line because I'd been
so ineffective at searching the internet, and was lately trying to find
witchhnt, at Matt Love's (a Jenny contact) suggestion. Are you saying I can
contact them through crosspost, or just crosspost some stuff to them? There
is probably a lot on internet, & I'll try to learn. Do you search on it?

RT> ... wonderful idea. ...think such postings would be appropriate here,
RT> but...Netiquette dictates that you address your inquiry to... Bob
RT> Hirschfeld. ...imagine that Valery Frosty would agree to such postings
RT> in VOCAL, but I don't presume to speak for her. ...general rule,
RT> moderators won't mind the posting of a narrative detailing a falsely
RT> accused prisoners plight with a short blurb tacked on near the end
RT> directing people toward a legal defense fund.
I've put this on my to do list also. It's getting longer...
>> Finally, we also want to help inmate Herman Wallace . . .
RT> Again, ask Bob for clarification as to the scope of this conference.
RT> One approach that comes to mind is one of somehow labeling him as a
RT> political prisoner, and posting the messages in ANEWS and P_NEWS.
RT> Seeking to promote his cause through Amnesty International may be
RT> another possible avenue, though the specifics of his case would likely
RT> be the determining factor, as opposed to his guilt or innocence.
ANEWS? Would this be Amnesty? P--is that Prisoner? Where do I find these?
RT> Not to worry, that case is well in hand. By the way, did my Netmail
RT> find its way to you?
Yes! My *first* net mail! How spiffy to send private msgs. At the Health
Ctr. I told you about, my sysop lets me have it free. I think they're
underwritten by the dept. of health or something.
And...Here's my report: I _talked_ to Kim! Wonderful lady. Just as you
implied. She's sending me something, and I'm to send her info on Kriseya.
Said she'd help me however she could, and to pick up the phone to call any-
time. She also said lots of good things about you, Rick...something like,
"He'll fight for a turtle or a person..." You're not an environmentalist
too, are you? We're a strange brand: Christian environmentalists. Both
sides view us as oddities. Very grateful for Kim's No.! Very.

Totally noted. You should see my list of to do's after reading this post!
It has been a month (when we moved here) that I last saw my desktop, and
the path to my desk is now defined by file stacks, books & papers. Ay,ay,ay.
I bless you, Rick....
