that's because you were using the editor in norton... LIST.COM is a
/viewer/ only... nothing else... 99% of the time, one only needs to view a
file... i use it, all the time, on windows executables to view the info at
the "end" of a file... much easier than using the properties
option of a right click in windows... especially when i'm not running
windows at that time...

its been a while for me, too, but i used to read HEX natively as well as
compiled machine code and ASM... i still read some ASM but no where near
what i used to... now i have ro breal out the op code books ;-)
