Depends on your code. The thing about coredumps is often the thoughtless
use of pointers in C/C++. This definitely doesn't happen with Java.

I don't think so. I have colleagues writing in C++ and colleagues writing
in Java. I can quite easily reuse the Java code for my own purposes, but
it's a lot more difficult with C++. You may say now, that this is my own
problem, because I don't know enough about C++; but at least that's what
I'm experiencing.

I don't suggest to write anything in Java. This was just thinking about
what would be nice to have. Of couse a Java editor would be more useful
than a Java tosser, as I already wrote above; you're perfectly right with
that.

A lot of problems with the Husky source could be solved by rewriting it in
/any/ modern language; simply by knowing that you're not programming for
DOS or OS/2 and Watcom C or MSVC, but for a portable project.

Well, I guess that still depends on your server.

Gerrit
