I don't think the retail price of petroleum products is as tied to the price of
crude as it used to be.  The oil companies have discovered they can charge
whatever they want and the product still sells.

I just discovered that there's a line of new windmills being installed about
20 miles north of me.  The foundations for each tower contain 140 yards
of concrete.  The problem with wind power is that it isn't going to solve 
the OIL problem, most big power plants run on coal, not oil.
