That is all great.
There are just 3 points I do not understand:
1) why does testing frequency depend on the frequency of mails generated by a
script that went haywire from a different node
2) there is a UTF-8 echo where such testing would fit much better than here why
not post it there
3) why was the test not prepanded by an explanation detailing what the test is
all about

Also I would assume that such a test will not deliver much news.
All sane tossers will push the mail text unmodified.
Very view editors will display the extended characters correctly.
