Hi ya'll.  I just picked up this echo (I haven't seen
the rules yet but I think I can stay on topic and out
of trouble for one msg )  This is mostly to see if
my feed is working both ways.  I can see you, can you
see me?
I've been interested in alternative power sources for a
long time and I'm hoping that this is the place to get
some info.  To keep from annoying everyone I'll try not
to ask for it all at once.
My interest are mostly in alt fuels (methane, alcohol,
hydrogen) and their use, passive solar heating, and
wind & direct solar water pumping.  Unfortunately I
have little to no practical experience (IOW, I've read
a lot but haven't built much).
The first series of questions I'd like to ask have to
do with alcohol as fuel but before I ask I thought I'd
see if anyone out there has any knowledge, practical or
other wise, on the subject. 
I also thought I better wait until I see the rules of
the echo before I jumped in.  I'd hate for my first
reply to be a moderator warning.  I really hate those
things!
