 I have here a manual of a Seikosha SP -1200AI matrixprinter which
 claimes to be Epson-compatible. never found out the opposite, so here
 it goes:
 ~ means Esc or CHR( 27 )...
 ~M             =  Elite-printing
 ~P             =  Elite printing off
 CHR(15)        =  Condensed printing
 ~CHR(15)       =  Ditto
 CHR(18)        =  Condensed printing off
 ~4             =  Italics on
 ~5             =  Italics off
 ~S0            =  Superscript
 ~S1            =  SubScript
 ~T             =  Sub/Super off
 ~E             =  Bold
 ~F             =  Bold off
 ~lnnn          =  Set left margin to nnn
