This question is the result of reading something in a novel. Is there a
difference between sanctified wine and blessed wine? I recall as a
youngster serving at mass and being told that both sanctified and
unsanctified wine were kept in the sacristy. But in that case what does the
priest do during mass? I mean, when does the wine turn into the blood of
Christ? Is it when the wine is blessed or is it when it's sanctified?
What's the difference?
