I'm still using a Boot Manager setup that allows me to run Ensemble/PC
DOS 7.0 when I want to use Ensemble without any other programs. (Boots
so much faster!) It also allows me to run sloppily programmed Windows stuff
if I have to. I only have a licence for Warp 3, so, after looking at
Warp 4, have gone back to that. Warp 4 may have solved some problems for
some people, but for what I do, Warp 3 gives me what I need!
SH> By the way Bill, how much will it cost you to be able to use voice
SH> dictation with your machine? It came included in Warp 4.0.
In Australia the recommended retail price for VoiceType for Windows 95
is roughly $AUD1000 (one thousand dollars) dearer than the complete Warp
4 package. The street price is at least $AUD700 dearer!
I certainly haven't experienced the problems that Bill complains about,
but I have spent many hours fixing Windows 95 problems for various
clients only to have their systems "muck up" again. The more I use
Windows 95 the less I like it. Having said that, let me also add that I
have not found a GUI that is without problems. Which is why Reagan's
"Star Wars" system was so frightening. How would they ever have debugged
the software???????
Regards
Peter Campbell
