I still don't see the problem. I use Windows 95 at home and Windows NT at
work. I regularly run several things at once using network cards, modems,
etc. If Windows NT can handle all of that without slowing down noticably, I
don't see what your problem is. In fact, I often have people logged onto my
system sharing files on the Hard Disk or CD ROM and don't even know they are
there unless I notice the drive being accessed. Yes NT will not let you get
directly to the hardware, that's it's job. Use the Win32 API, use threads if
you have a bunch of things going on at once. I don't know what else to tell
ya.
