  Yes Fred, I checked my modem (not a USR, unfortunately), and found the
  equivalent settings. I also asked a local Commo expert here, and told me
  to _turn-off_ the auto-baud feature (did I tell you I'm only using Commo
  6.00 ?). It worked like magic. He told me that the later versions
  starting from Commo 6 don't have the auto-baud feature setting anymore.
  Thanks again, your recommendations were very much appreciated. BTW, I'll
  be checking out your newer versions, because these friend whom I asked
  for help is using a Commo 6.5! (latest, according to him)
