| subject: | B.C Riding Controversy |
Hello George. 22 Apr 04 12:27, you wrote to me: MG>> A Liberal riding association in British Columbia has accused Prime MG>> Minister Paul Martin of denying voters their democratic right to MG>> vote for the candid they want to represent the party in the next MG>> election. GP> Which voters were these? The thousands of non-existent ones on the GP> Liberal membership lists? The riding is Svend Robinson's. There's not even a guarantee that the Liberals will take it. According to the PMO, the one approved nominee is well known to the party and so was approved quickly, while the others are not well known in the party and so are undergoing background checks. I think them playing the race card is rediculous. Martin appointed an East Indian guy in a neighboring riding. It comes off to me as whining. I wonder what they have to hide, that they need to complain about the tough new background checks that Martin has made a requirement for nomination. It's all about the whiners of the Liberal party who are now on the outside looking in, and who want to do anything they can to make Paul Martin look bad. --- GoldED/W32 3.0.1* Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE: WelComE To ThE AsYluM!
