Yes, to the first question. However, TG has its problems-there's NO way to
import message bases, unless you're using FastEcho (as that's the only
converter written). I wasn't too happy when I tried to import my 500+ message
base echo by hand. On the other hand, I found a nice little util for Max that
took my SQUISH.CFG and made it into MSGAREA.CTL in about one minute.
I'd highly recommend TG for any new BBS sysop. There's nothing easier to set
up, really. There is great support for it and it seems like you can always
find a sysop that's run it at one time or another. However, I have certain
needs and I've found Maximus/2 to meet them in a more capable way than TG.
Anyway, I'm off my soapbox now. ;) AFAIC, any BBS program is cool as long as
you're happy with it.
