Depends on what you want to do.  If you are just trying to answer in a
different area, what Dan told you is the right "magic spell".  If you
are trying to send the same reply to more than one area at the same
time, at the bottom of the pop-up screen (for the header information)
when you start the reply, one of the commands on the bottom of the area
is for cross-posting, .  It only appears as you are beginning a
message or a reply, or if you are re-editing.

When you finish writing the message, the list of the echoes available
will appear, as Dan stated for the  command (reply in other
area), and you follow his directions. 

In 2.20, that I am using, the screen is a little different, and it is an
 command at that point, but I went back to my 2.12 (still sitting
here on the 'puter) to check that the capability was there as well, and
it is.
