Hi, Maryann.
MD>>MD> Which is about how many fonts? Start counting....
MD>>LB>Close to seventy installed. far too many for normal use:
I keep about forty-five on-line in my font viewer, but I only keep
my most frequently used ones in the pop-up menu because I like it to
be a short list. That's my ten favorites for laying out my canine
newspaper which is primarily done in 9 point text and 10 point or 12
point article headers and attention-getting headlines in display ads.
Every few weeks I pull a dozen or so fonts from a special backup tape
that is never used for backing up my drives and is never erased.
That's where I keep my Terri Ferrier collection (the original 600
fonts and the next 400 she converted) stored and bring them into
the Userdata/Fonts folder to try them out. If they look good in
9 and 10 point, then I keep them. Otherwise I get rid of them.
If I keep so many new ones that my total on-line number exceeds
fifty, I take out some of the ones I haven't been using and store
them separately on the tape so I can find them easily when I want
to use them again.

I see you are in my sister's general vicinity. Are you near the Park
Slopes area that has been designated a historical district because of
the many old brownstones? When I was a very small child, I lived in
the Kings Highway area, and so did my grandparents.
