Yeah, they changed how all that works now. There is no TYPE "B" anymore.
Take a look at foxtools.wri that came with VFP for the proper calls.

The valid types are:
I Integer (32 bit)
L Long
C String of Characters
F Floating Point Number
D Double precision floating point number
S Short (16-bit)integer
