Still can't see the word DTC......

Actually it IS. It's just not supported by the Comms programs.



DTE Speed can be any Even Division of 115200 BPS. and 14400 is divided by 8



If you want to check the facts, find some information of any of the IBM
¨Uarts. The information is available in a file called PCHELP.





And another example of how to acheive 14400 Baud on DTE.



I have a DTE Speed set to 19200 BPS



Now I transmit data down that line at an average of 1440 CPS.



Now my DTE has an average speed of 14400 Baud.



Even thought the DTE speed is set to 19200 Baud it is NOT continusly
¨transmitting a data stream. Unlike a DCE Carrier.
