Hi Maurice!

25 May 2018 12:41, from Maurice Kinal -> Richard Menedetter:

MK> I can speak for Little Mikey.

That is good to know.
Can you please ask him why he posted a message in a nordic language again?
This is an english echo.
That means that people subscribed here can read english more or less.
That is not true for Swedish for the majority of echo participants.

RM>> Sadly you did not answer the question.
MK> What?? is not a question despite having two question marks.
MK> It is more of a statement of confusion if I am not mistaken.

Let me rephrase then ... you did not muh to lessen the confusion.

RM>> "I wrote him xxxx in language yyy" would have answered the
 RM>> question.
MK> Ah! Why didn't you say so in the first place. The message was a
MK> Swedish proverb which translated to English is; "If it isn't one thing
MK> it's the other," said the girl with a nosebleed. I am not sure what
 MK> the Austrian translation is.

Can you ask Mikey why he posted a swedish proverb in an english echo?

RM>> If you must use the command line, please install trans and send
RM>> me the output of trans text_msg.utf8
MK> Was ist trans? I tried looking it up but I get a different result
MK> than what you probably mean by trans. An url might be handy of where
 MK> it can be located.

I provided an URL.
I copy it here again for your benefit:
https://www.ostechnix.com/use-google-translate-commandline-linux/

But it should NOT be necessary to use a translation utility to English in an
English echo!!

RM>> Is Mikey and Maurice the same person?
MK> Speaking for myself, no. Little Mikey isn't a person. However I will
MK> admit that Maurice on 1:153/7001 does post and recently does replies
MK> for Little Mikey. I think he does an excellent job.

Why not make a local echo for Little Mikey where he can post as many swedish
proverbs as it wants?
I would prefer if it stopped posting here!

CU, Ricsi
