Much the same reason - the manufacturer had a name that needed getting away
from, since it had gained widespread recognition.  (Not exactly _positive_
recognition - but recognition for all of that.)

Reasonable move.  I gather that most of the defects of the product have now
been remedied - necessary, or there has to be another name change again in
18 months or so when the Barnum effect supply of customers runs low.
