well you'll need a .21 engine for the RC 500.  my uncle has one of them.  and 
about the instructions, call up or send mail to Associated telling them about 
your delema, they'll be happy to get one out to you for a minimul fee.  and 
see if they still have the video that camme with that kit, it is very 
elpful!
