Replying to a message of Roy Witt to Bob Ackley:

BK>>> What do you think Vietnam was?

BA>> An outright invasion of one sovereign nation by another sovereign
 BA>> nation.

RW> North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam.

That's what I said.

BK>>> And it was not in Bosnia where the electric grids were bombed.
 BK>>> Get your wars straight.

BK>>> And bombing electrical grids was far preferable to killing the
BK>>> people. Bush chose to kill people, and demanded they not harm
BK>>> the oil fields. Bush defended the oil ministry while the museums
BK>>> were looted of priceless history.

BA>> Intentionally bombing non-military targets used to be considered a
 BA>> war crime.

RW> Then the Brits should have been tried for war crimes after WW2. See:
 RW> Hamburg

In point of fact, when he was told that his fire bombing of Japanese cities
(which killed more civilians than both of the nukes combined) could be considered
a war crime, Curtis E. LeMay commented that it was a good thing his side won
the war.
