    ("Oh, Bill!  Is there a modification that will let me reverse the
      numbers on my display so that. . .")
    Try experimenting with Fresnel lenses.  There are a wide variety of
    lenses available from Edmund Scientific.  Maybe with the right
    combination you could get a projection onto the ceiling.  It might
    be backwards and or upside-down, but yet another lens might help
    in that case.
