Whoever told you that obviously didn't know what they were talking about.. 
One of the slow downs encountered by Netscape was that they figured out the 
Open32 port from Win32 was turning out to be a disaster..  They scrapped the 
whole project and started over from scratch.  I'd guess 1-2 months before we 
see something resembling a beta release..
