Lest not forget that gender roles are still pretty much unchanged: men
still perform the bulk of the dangerous breadwinner job roles where the
pay is high to perform the life and lifestyle depriving load, whereas
women still perform the easier life and lifestyle preserving jobs.

So in this regard nothing has changed, even with women bringing the
homeplace of childcare etc to the workplace as essentially women want
it all!
