Hi Mike,
Dude, that sucks.. I've only installed Ubuntu on an imac and used the
bootable version on a PC, but I keep hearing such good things about it.
Red Hat (before they went Microsoft on everyone) used to do kernel updates
like that, but they installed the updates into the boot loader so you could
go back to older ones f the newer one didn't boot. That blows if Ubuntu
doesn't do the same.
I'm pretty comfortable with Slackware, and though I'm curious to try
Ubuntu, Slack has done me well.
