No, marriage is destroyed because people are programmed from the moment
they are born
that they will and must get married.  They are encouraged to get marred
as soon as possible
over the age of 21 for good reason because anybody over the age of 30 or
35 has a clear
understanding of what sex, love and relationships are and are not.

This male poster may lay the blame on women but anyone who has worked
around the family
unit usually has the opinion that those that marry and those that
divorced clearly
deserve each other and the respective spouses will more likely than not
pick a spouse
just like the last one and do it all over again.  Generally speaking no
one spouse is better
than the next.  If you require a spouse, they will come with their own
unique set of problems,
assets and liabilities.

A far more interesting post or question is why anyone needs a spouse and
what a spouse brings and does
not bring to the matrimonial table.

The two great tragedies are war and marriage.   The tragedy is not that
they exist but that those sent into war or marriage or those attracted
to war or marriage usually by their very nature and structure are very
young and have no previous experience.  The results are death, wounded
to some degree or unscathed.
