"Prime Minister Tony Blair has revealed that he believes the country
will have a gay leader in the future.

Speaking to Attitude magazine, the Prime Minister said that there are
"plenty" of gay MPs currently in the Houses of Parliament and if one
should work their way up the political hierarchy, they would be
welcomed by the general public."

Back in the seventies they were just "confirmed batchellors"
