While sitting on cloud 9, Albert Alcoceba said to Danny Keogh something about
Stop Autoanswer

Works fine with my modem. No problems at all. I can have as
many commands as I like after ATZ.
AA> Why not issue ATS0=0&W once in a terminal program to save that to
AA> NVRAM then just keep using ATZ^m?
That would work fine if some software programs would stop
changing the nram on modems without letting the user know about
it. Had that happen to me once. Kept wondering why my modem
would only connect at 14.4. BBS packages have the unfortunate
habit of doing that sort of thing.
