That's because they're farther inland along 99.  :) What I want to know is
where the citrus groves have gone? There used to be miles of orange and
lemon groves on both sides of I5, but the only place I've seen them in I
can't remember how long is in the really awesome ride at DCA called Soaring
over California. IMO that on ride alone is worth the price of admission.
It's like an IMAX except more real. You enter the room and get in this
contraption that lifts you off the ground while the movie plays scenes from
all over California. It feels like hang gliding (or so I've been told, I've
never actually been hang gliding), I love that ride it's so realistic, when
you're flying over the citrus groves you can smell oranges, over Big Sur
you can smell the ocean. :)
