I think you're missing what I'm saying, Pacific hwy is a city street in San Diego, it isn't a hwy and never has been, in fact when it was built it was named Atlantic Blvd. Yeah I don't get that either. Pacific Coast Highway is a highway and runs along the coast through at least 5 California counties. PCH and Pacific hwy are not the same road. MG>> I5 does go all the way to Canada, but it goes all the way from Mexico. EH> 101 and 99 preceded I5 by several years. California has a hwy 99 but it runs inland to Fresno and boring places like that. :) MG>> There are signs MG>> along 101 where it runs along city streets proclaiming Historic 101. I-5, by contrast, is boring beyond toleration. and worse than that it runs through dairy country, far too much methane around there. :) -- L'Chaim, Mimi fcpnmimi(at)cox.net http://www.myspace.com/fcpnmimi Whatcha reading? --- Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 (Windows/20080708)* Origin: The Eastern Star - Fidonet Via Your Newsreader (1:123/789.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 18/200 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 320/119 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 2905/0 @PATH: 123/789 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
