Yes, along with the smell of the ocean at Big Sur there's a salty wind. It really is worth the price of admission to the park (DCA) by itself. As I said earlier the park is more for adults than kids. There's a 3D (they give you special glasses to view the movie) movie of the history of California narrated by Whoopee Goldberg in the role of Califia. Califia, for whom California was named, is the Amazon goddess from a romance novel written in Spain shortly before the Spanish "discovered Baja California. At that time they believed Baja was an island, instead of a peninsula. The show goes from the Indios to the Spanish, to the Mexicans to the US to today. It's a marvelous performance. :) -- L'Chaim, Mimi fcpnmimi(at)cox.net http://www.myspace.com/fcpnmimi Whatcha reading? --- Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 (Windows/20080708)* Origin: The Eastern Star - Fidonet Via Your Newsreader (1:123/789.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 18/200 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 320/119 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 2905/0 @PATH: 123/789 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
