Yeah, they sure got that right.  Did it also mention that we have the
highest per-capita juvenile crime rate in Australia?  If not, it should
have. Indeed, the only reason there are still some decent people living
here is that our homes are so bloody worthless that we can't afford to
move.  No joke.

Yeah, it's pretty bad all right.  It's mainly dogs which are being
mistreated too, which is intolerable IMO.  Frankly, I couldn't give a toss
about the cats, although I wouldn't quite go to the lengths of one local
fellow, who was gaoled recently for tying a rope around a kitten's neck,
and dragging it behind his car at speeds of 100kph on the SE Freeway (it
survived, BTW).

Damn, your timing is typically atrocious too, as I've been stalking two
cats which have only just started coming into my yard and monstering the
birds at night (we now have breeding pairs of cockatiels, peach-faced
African lovebirds, and quail in the aviary).  They're a bit cunning and
hard to shoot, so Lyn is going to prepare another of her special dishes -
arsenic sausage.  True!  :)
