AS would building pipe bombs in your basement as part of

INdeed, and even if the conspiracy doesn't go interstate,
building said pipe bombs in your basement nets you the
attention of the fine folks at ATF.
But then, so potentially could the act of crossing a state
line to buy fireworks for the fourth of july because they're not permitted
where you live. USEd to do that all the time
when I was a young man living in Iowa, we'd get a pool of
money together, and a car load of us, go down to MIssouri to buy things
that go bang for the fourth.
This from the guy who lost one of the best regular gigs I
had one summer by helping the marina owner's son build a
potato launcher.
