While some musicians have always been into tubes, they
just recently started making a comeback in the US (though
Japan & other countries rediscovered it earlier).  And
even more recently, low powered tubes (single digit watts
like yours).
Alittle over a year ago I bought a nice, new 'entry' level
stereo amp using 6 Sovtek 5881s.  Listed as 40watts per
channel, everyone says 25-30 is more like it.  Anyhow,
zero-feedback, singled-ended, and I love it.  I consider
it the biggest feature of my system.
It also had Sovtek 6SN7s, but everone upgrades those.  I
currently have the more desireable RCA 5692 red-bases...
So are tubes very popular over there?  I know they still
are one of the main suppliers, and have alot better build
quality than the Chinese tubes...
