wOuld agree with that assessment. Haven't recalled that
name for years, but used to enjoy his TV show on SAturday
nights. NOw there could be a shoutfest, but you could learn a thing or
three watching that show.
Especially the segment where he allowed average folks in the "beef
box" to stand up and bitch for awhile about their main complaint
.

Jerry never made it to his dad's level though imho. I had
friends and a couple relatives out there at the time who
liked Governor Pat.

Goldwater was a true conservative, in all that it implies.
HE must be spinning in his grave at what some of these folks tout as conservatism.
