Had to read that more than once, the first time it seemed to indicate that
those who grew up and loved America detested it...
I finally got it right.
I grew up in and love the United States of America. You think I am far
left; true probably on some things. I was a fan of Barry Goldwater, talked
to him several times, wore his clothes.....
(.....Goldwater's, owned by the family, in Phoenix, is a men's store.)  :-)

I don't think any citizen detests Americas, I don't think anyone sane wants
to be rid of it...
Change is happening faster and faster (Kurzweil, The Singularity)...
dealing with it will be for some harder and harder...

One small additional thought: The America I grew up in had no dialing
phones, no tv, no computers, no jet planes, no automatic shift...:-)
