Firefly had a hero with flaws, on just the first episode, our hero captain
had one of the bad guys beaten, tied-up and was ready to send him packing.
Told him to take word to his boss that they weren't going to play along,
and when the guy refused to carry the message, our hero captain kicked him
into the intake of the Ship's turbine engine. Again this was not part of an
ongoing fight but after the guy had been beaten.

oooohhhh,  you missed a good bet,  you really did.  There's been one space
show that could hang with Crusade and that was Firefly.  yes one of the
characters was a "Companion"  but you missed at least seven other
good ones.

And the stories were.   Welll.  Excellent.
