The problem with Christianity is not so much its dreadful past but its
present appalling and suicidal course.  No permanent religion can be based
on the supposed inerrancy of ancient texts or on some imagined Divine
Revelation that allegedly occurred over eighty generations ago

Christianity in its present form is already dead rather than dying, what we
have is an attempt to resuscitate its corpse through Fundamentalist
superstition and traditionalist bullying.  A few more breaths and it will
all be over leaving chaos in its wake

Life preserves itself through evolution, through constant adaptation. Mind,
consciousness, are part of that process, the psyche evolves or in a few
generations it starts to degenerate, perhaps to be replaced by a different
species in which conscious , reasoned,  thinking is less dominant

It would be a shame, but the signs are there. Human consciousness is
destroying this planet and the planet will mindlessly fight back to
eradicate what it encounters as a threat. The planet will rebalance itself
without us if necessary

Christianity must reform and evolve.  What no one dared say two thousand
years ago and throughout the reign of Orthodoxy, Catholicism, and a sick
puritanism one can now say openly - the origins of Christianity are in
severe doubt.  We need especially to properly address the problem of
Paulism and of Johannine Paulism

There may BE no historical Jesus at the end of our journey.  What matters
ultimately to the planet and to each other is how we live rather than why. 
What we have presented to us as Jesus teachings, as the writings of
chroniclers and prophets and epic writers may well assist us

But we have no absolute certain revelation and it is time we faced up to that fact.

No-one is going to Heaven or Hell on the basis of belief in such poor
quality evidence - it is time we all recognised that and cut the crap.

Let the goatherders and shepherds go back to their flocks and herds - they
have no great place in formulating a reformed Christianity

It is time that modern man did the thinking and reasoning needed to created
a stable and moral , sharing civilisation.

In two thousand years man has yet to find the answer to a sharing
civilisation in the goat herders manual that we call the Bible.
