Yea, but you forgot to mention the clients pissing and moaning that you
haven't returned their systems... and you know you shouldn't mention that
the new part was defective, cause then its your fault they bought the damn
thing in the first place.  Now they know they bought a POS, and its your
fault... even though you had nothing to do with it... They bought the damn
thing from Best Buy... I didn't tell them to...  But I'm their computer
guy and I should have "Warned" them.  Yea, like how the hell am I supposed
to do that?  I've hears all the above many times.

I've been in that situation a number of times... My favorite is when the
HD dies in the notebook.  It not hard to replace, but, they've lost
confidence in the system, so they go buy a new one and I get the
old.  $50-100 bucks invested in a new HD, a few hours of labor and I got a
nice system.
