There is no way for a server to definitively know.. the browser sends what
is known as a User Agent string, as a header in the request to the server,
the server takes this string, and parses it out... that's how it knows,
there are engines, which emulate different browsers, as well as programs
which will do the same... not to mention agent switchers etc.
